A Sunrise
Sometimes in life, we come across an unexpected place that transports us
into another world. And for a moment, everything is perfect.
Just a thought that came to me as I went for a morning walk yesterday. I had
wanted specially to catch the sun rise and woke up at 6.30 just to be sure I wouldn't miss it. When I did, it was worth all the
struggle of getting out of bed. I love how the sky turns from greyish-blue to a
velvet purple then lightens into the hue of a Lilac, before the pinks come
in bringing with them the first golden rays of sunlight to touch the fluffy white clouds. It's Magical. You know there are those times in life where everything feels so perfect and pretty and things almost glow? Like during Christmas when it snows (I've never seen snow but I imagine it makes everything warm and cozy) with all the Christmas lights and carols in the streets (or malls), fire places lit and mistletoe hung; the whole family gathering round the table for dinner. Or like when you're on holiday and all you do is shop, eat, tour and explore, without a single care in the world. Like stepping out after it rains. I feel like these moments are almost like snippets into what heaven is like. They often remind you of the reasons to keep living and the true meaning of happiness. Sunrises and sunsets are like that, they create those feelings too.
